Uniform

Lyndhurst Primary School enjoys an excellent reputation in our Community.

Our School uniform helps to give pupils pride in our School and makes them ambassadors for Lyndhurst Primary School in the Community. We do not specify items of uniform linked to gender.

Our School uniform:

Lyndhurst Early Years Uniform Nursery & Reception

  • Red or white polo shirt
  • Red jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan
  • Black joggers
  • Black Velcro fastened trainers – need to be able to be worn outside.
  • Waterproof coat
  • Waterproof trousers
  • Wellies
  • Book Bag

Children will get wet and dirty, so it is really important that the outdoor clothing is waterproof. Lidl often do these quite reasonably priced. Regatta at Daisy Nook Garden Centre often has sales on, as do Trespass in Spindles.
You can buy clothes with logos or without. Often supermarket brands are cheaper.
Branded sweatshirts and cardigans can be purchased from Debonair on Oldham Market.

Lyndhurst KS1 and KS2 Uniform

  • White polo shirt/school shirt or school blouse
  • Red jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without logo)
  • Dark grey school style trousers/shorts or skirt/culottes.
  • Black, grey, red or white school style socks or tights/leggings.
  • Black school style shoes or trainers. (These must not be slip ons as they can be dangerous in school. Please do not buy shoes with lights – these can be dangerous for people with epilepsy). Children need to be able to run and play safely.
  • Red or black headscarves/turbans etc may be worn. Headbands and other hair accessories must be in school colours and used to support keeping hair tidy.
  • Waterproof coat
  • Book Bag/Back pack.

PE Uniform – wear this on PE days

  • Black or grey jogging trousers or thick leggings. School style PE shorts may be worn in warmer weather.
  • White or red round neck school style t shirt.
  • Red school style sweatshirt. (with or without logo).
  • Trainers suitable for indoor or outdoor wear in all weathers. Black PE style pumps.
    Jewellery and other items
  • Children may wear an inexpensive watch.
  • Only small stud like earrings should be worn – this is for health and safety reasons. Your child will be expected to   remove their own earrings and keep them safe (on PE days).
  • Any other jewellery is not allowed with the exception of religious items, which must be removed for PE.
  • If your child cannot remove their own earrings/religious jewellery, then as the parent/carer you take responsibility   for any accidents that may occur.

Please do not send your child into school with dyed hair or false nails. We encourage children not to wear nail varnish to school.
